9.01], [9.02] Create your own unique quadratic equation in the form y = ax2 + bx + c. Use complete sentences and show all work to determine the following: Does the graph open up or down? How do you know? Explain whether the graph has a maximum or minimum point. Find the vertex and x-intercepts of the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the "complete sentence" part is on you if you want easy x - intercepts, start with equation in factored form, say \[y=(x-5)(x+3)\] which obviously has zeros at -3 and 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply out and see what you get. since the leading coefficient is 1, and 1 is positive, it will open up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

vertex will be at \[x=-\frac{b}{2a}\] you can find that easily. then replace x by what you get to find the y - value of the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hint: if you use the example i write above, the first coordinate of the vertex will be half way between -3 and 5, which is 1.

its -1 lol bt thanks
