explain all steps in complete sentence and n paragragh form . jonah is going shopping at the mall he saw two bags of mixed candy that he really wants, however he can only afford one of them. the chocolate candy mix cost $0.79 per puond and weight 6 pounds. The fruit candy mix cost $0.69 per pound and weight 8 puonds. Jonah only has $5.00. Which candy mix can he afford

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well if the fruit candy mix costs .69 per pound and weighs 8 pounds then the total for the fruit candy mix will be .69 * 8 and the chocolate candy mix costs .79 and weights 6 pounds so it's total is .79 * 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now jonah only has 5.00 so the price of each must either be less than or equal to 5.00 ( excluding tax)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we end up with \[.69*8\le5.00 or.79*6\le5.00\]

now you can times each out and see which one is below 5 dollars and that is the one this little kid can enjoy
