Question

I am issuing a call for Self Learners in the moi mode. U are interested enough to ask your own questions, frame Reading Lists out of your growing and developing questions, and you are impertinent enough to download Papers, Public Lectures or even Lecture Material, buy books etc in line with intellectual goals. If you are one of these people,come to me and lets swap notes in the style of MIT OCW, Open Yale etc. Lets USE these resources to aid our journey. Like-minded will get priority and medals.

Well, this sounds like a fun way to invest my time, must admit i'm not familiar with the MIT OCW or Open Yale but from your description they must be similar to this open study site, even if its full potential isn't used yet. Self learning is a core requisite of my course lol I only get 7 hours of guided study so this leaves me in a bit of a quandry as to the most worthwhile technique to use for learning as collaborating with other peeps on the course is damn near impossible lol.

English Courses in general on OCW MIT focusing on learning about Essayists and Reading and Writing the Essay.
Sociology because I did a Joint Honours at Essex University in it and because it is an fascinating Subject that is so enlightening.
Politcs because you can't really get to know about any Academic Subjects so it would appear without it.
Philosophy because it is an underpinning Discipline, some books are so difficult to read because they are are so abstract so Librivox freebies are useful in this respect.
Literature because Literature is the way in, the Holy Grail to learning how to be a Writer which runs alongside Creative Writing.
Writing wise I would rather read a Literature Degree than a Creative Writing Course because Writing can and is intelligently part of what it means to learn the wonders of Literature.
Last but not least I am a proud self learner who is not afraid of pursuing Questions with a view to creating Theory.
My interests are emancipatory, progressive politics and sociology and how these can be used to overturn the current destructive Free Market Regime forced on us by the Shock Doctors, Naomi Klein.

Lastly but not least: praise God for the wonderful discussions I have had with my Professor Friends and Family by which I have been led down new avenues of enquiry by which also; I lay hold of Papers, Lecture Materials, Public Lecture material, whatever I can get by way of the crumbs falling from the YOUNG and yooful Institutional Table.
