I am a senior in High School right now, and I'm thinking of writing my college entrance essay about being adopted from China. How should I start it and what should I talk about. I was 2 months old, and I don't know much about my real parents because I was so young. I have a big family, but only me and my sister are adopted. (She is from a different place though) PLEASE HELP WITH ANYTHING!! THANK YOU SOO MUCH!

Since you don't know much about your original family, start off with what you do know.

Where you were born.
Who adopted you and when.
Interview your parents and ask them some questions about why they wanted to adopt children and why from another country and incorporate that into your essay.
Talk about what it is like living in a culture where you are a minority (that could be a whole essay in and of itself).
Talk about how interactions between you and your adopted sister are and compare and contrast them with your interactions with the non-adopted siblings, and perhaps even their interactions among themselves.
