i have this hyperbola, i am trying to find the foci

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[((x+10)^2/(25))-((y+1)^2/(9))=1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i came up with the foci as being : \[-10\pm \sqrt{34},-1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't do computations, do same translate to origin, use plus/minus a*eccentricity to find foci, translate back.

Mathsurfer, you are correct.
