I GIVE ANYONE A MEDAL!!!!!! The box-and-whisker plots show the high temperature in degrees Fahrenheit over a 10-day period for two cities in Texas. What can be concluded from the data? Dallas temperatures were more concentrated , or the interquartile range was smaller, than San Antonio temperatures. San Antonio has an outlier. San Antonio temperatures were mostly concentrated in the mid 90's. The median temperature in Dallas was greater than every temperature in San Antonio.
The first two answers are nonsense. The temps for Dallas are much more variable indicated by the longer whiskers. There are no outliers; outliers are usually represented by an asterisk beyond the whisker. For the third, the box is the middle 50% of the data show that for San antonio the temps were concentrated from 90 to 93 degrees which is probably the low 90's, not the mid 90's. The answer is the last one. The line in the box is the location of the median which is clearly to the right of the highest temp for San antonio (which is 94 degrees).
thank you
there is an outlier...but it is for Dallas
