Nine band members reported on the money they made selling candy bars for the fund-raiser. The results in dollars were: 146, 132, 130, 153, 157, 124, 151, 153, 121. Make a stem and leaf plot of the data on your own paper, then answer each question. Which stem has the greatest dollar value in the plot? What is the median of the data? What does the 15 stem in the graph represent?

Didn't my answer post earlier?
stem|leaf 12|1 4 13|0 2 14|6 15|1 3 3 7 The stem that has the greatest dollar value is the 15, which represents $150. The middle value of an ordered data set is the median. In this example the position of the median is 9/2=4.5 ==> 5th position, or $146.
