is calculus necessary in physics??

Most of the equations are derived using calculus. Electrical physics is built with almost only calculus's concepts. There is a thing named calculus(less) physics but you get to memorize ALL the equations without understanding the Why and How of them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At higher level physics calculus is very important when dealing with physical problems, but at lower level, it is the principals and key equations that are important for the basic understanding.

it is very important tool of physics. without it you won't able to go far in physics. If you really want to learn physics then you have to learn calculus.
