jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

3x^2 + 26x + 16 = 0 3x^2+2x+24x+16 = 0 x(3x+2)+8(3x+2) = 0 (x+8)(3x+2) = 0 x+8=0 or 3x+2=0 x=-8 or x=-2/3

hero (hero):

Here's Jim Thompson using his programs as usual

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

being bitter again?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hero (hero):

Well at least you're not in denial about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:\ i know.

hero (hero):

Just interesting the way jim thompson does it. I would have swaped the 2x with the 24x and did it this way: 3x^2 + 24x + 2x + 16 = 0 3x(x+8)+2(x+8) = 0 (x+8)(3x+2) = 0
