Apples...

xD thanks jim

Thank you thank you! Please look at my question. Or should I repost it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe we should provide a more complete explanation...

myininaya (myininaya):

\[1y+1y=y(1+1)=y(2)=2y\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 apple plus 1 apple = 2 apples

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

alright, y is some unknown number. If we add two of the same numbers together, we're essentially multiplying that number by 2 example: 5+5 is the same as 2*5 or 16+16 is the same as 2*16. So replace each numerical example with 'y' to get y+y is the same as 2y (2 times y)

myininaya (myininaya):

1 orange +1 orange=2 oranges

Omg :O I get it thank you guys sooo much
