What is the easiest essay structure to follow?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Everyone is telling me, it's the apa style, but i can't seem to find A WAY TO TYPE IN MY PAPER

In my experience i've been taught the below method and have used is consitently as have many of my peers. I'll show a 1500 word plan. Introduction - 50 words This section should contain a very brief breakdown of what the essay will discuss Main Body 1 - 400 words This should contain the primary evidence for essay to refer too, Main Body 2 - 400 words You should start building your arguement here, with clear endings at each paragraph leading onto the next. Main Body 3 - 400 words For this section you want to focus on the key part of your essay question and try to start tying it off. Conclusion - 250 words Here you want to discuss what you have concluded as a result of the information you have provided in the body of the essay. Don't include anything that hasn't been already been mentioned in the essay as this shows bad form Hope this helps a little bit dude

The above structure is very basic though, i'm sure there are many better ways to do it. This site has some very useful phrases to paraphrase on it too http://www.phrasebank.manchester.ac.uk/
