I do not have a PhD, but I have read Brian Greene's book "The Elegant Universe" and studied it in college. If that is sufficient for you, maybe I could give a shot at answering your question. =)

I have a PhD in Physics, but i dont have a technical understanding of string theory I am afraid. But the best thing to do is ask a question and see if you get an answer
