I think that programming is like puzzle solving. You are given a problem, then told to use all the information that you know or can find and create the best solution. I would only suggest going into this field if you have a lot of patience and won't be frustrated when you fail. Because you will fail. Terribly. Then you use that failure to not fail next time. So yes computer science is fun to a certain kind of people, but a lot of people hate it.
