Angle F is the same as angle D and angle A. Angle A and 83 added together lie upon a straight line and so add up to 180. So angle F is 180-83=97

Im not sure but wouldn't you have an a straight line with D and angle 83 so you would get the equation 180=83+D therefore D=97 from there just remember adjacent angle and that they are equal so D=F therefore F=97!
