How do I create a study group lets say CS-101?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe only the site administrators can create new groups.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks, I feel the option of creating a class specific study group can be really helpful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It could be, but then you get into the problem of lots of people creating their own groups, and the site would become bloated and unusable. At least in my opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I agree, on the other hand the generality of the topics in broad groups, may not really help in class and syllabus specific learning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It may not, but If you are specific with your question, and clearly define what you want to help with, providing as much information as you can, then usually you get the best help possible from the many knowledgeable persons here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you are right, however if there were class and syllabus specific groups, the questions can be answered much faster with lesser contextual clarity. Also, a syllabus specialist can contribute & learn better in specific subjects and can better utilise his time and effort in such specialised groups than broad groups. Hope the site admins take note of this and provide option of creating or approving study groups. Again thanks for replying.

We are not targeting class-specific groups at the moment, I'm afraid. There are other tools out there that are specifically meant for that. We may eventually go in that direction, but for now we're all about `massively multiplayer online study groups' -- concentrating a large amount of peers into one topic group so they can help each other even if they're studying slightly different things, in different classes, or at different schools.
