Question

Can anybody analyze this one for me Please its hard to understand this kind of Poem. Thanks in advance.

anyone lived in a pretty how town
by E. E. Cummings


anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did

Women and men(both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed(but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf

hmmm...interpret it? they lived in a town, with guys and gals, no one cared about each other, because they didnt care no one else cared for them, the little kids guessed that it was wrong to not care, but forgot about it when they grew up, and no one loved anyone

Poems, love them, you can interpret them in many ways; they depend on your point of view; in art, black and white do not exist.

Step one is to understand that "anyone" could be the name of a specific person...(i.e.: "George" lived in a pretty how town). But why did Cummings use "anyone" instead of a specific name? That's where you'll start your analysis.
