what is the use of resistance ?

Resistance changes the voltage flowing inside a circuit. Usually, resistors are used to res guard other electrical component from excessive electric flow ( voltage) so they won't burn.

resistance is measured with ohmmeter.note that it is unusual in this day and age to have a device that will measure ohms and nothing else...A link is provided to its brief article on the ohmmeter posted at wikipedia.....

it helps to slow down when driving around curves and going thru delicate stuff. resistance provides a measure of control
