2. Construct a truth table for (~p q) p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(~pΛq)→p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We start with p , q then add calculated columns one by one p q ------ F F F T T F T T

OpenStudy (amistre64):

set up ps and qs p -p q -pAq t f t f f t t t f f f t f f

OpenStudy (amistre64):

now condition that with p again

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-pAq -> p f t f t t t f t t f t t f f f t f f f f t f f t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yep, its not difficult, just gotta make sure your keeping track of all the changes :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that first one is off; should have been: f->t = t pretty sure its a typo

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and about the center i see a bad one: f->f = f is wrong with the condition "->" if the first is f, the answer is t regardless f -> f = t
