The recitation video at: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-02sc-multivariable-calculus-fall-2010/part-a-vectors-determinants-and-planes/session-1-vectors/ seems to assume (by taking P to be at 1/3 of the first median) what is yet to be proved. Would appreciate any clarification that will help my lack of understanding of the proof/solution.
