A puzzle contains a triangular piece with a base of 3 in. and a height of 4 in. a manufacturer want to make 80 puzzles. find the amount of wood used if each puzzle contains 20 triangular pieces.

1) Area of the triangular piece = 3 x 4 x 0.5 = 6
2) 20 pieces in 1 puzzle, so 6 x 20 = 120
3) 80 puzzles in total, thus 120 x 80 = 9600 inch (squared)
