If I have a thousand oranges, and I give away 12 of them, then I have 1000 - 12 oranges. Similarly, if I have \(o\) oranges and I give away 35 of them, I have \(o - 35\) oranges. So, if she has \(c\) pieces of candy and gives away 69 of them, how many does she have left.
