what did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second one... but i don't know if I'm doing it right...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are not doing it right. what did you do to get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no idea... i am redoing a assignment... Could you explain how to do these?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take it one step at a time. what is (y^4)^3?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

Distribute the power to each factor inside parenthesis.........multiply exponents when you have a power raise to another power \[= (2^{2}x^{2}y^{7*2})(y^{4*3}) = 4x^{2}y^{14}y^{12} = 4x^{2}y^{14+12} = 4x^{2}y^{26}\]

okay... thanks! :)
