So I think what it's asking is for me to come up with an equation for a and b based on the table? Could someone please explain this problem, or help me get it started?

f(-1) is when x=-1 so u take the value below x=-1 which is 6

Omg I'm making this stuff so hard on myself, when it's really that simple.  My brain has a harder time figuring out what the problems asking for than actually solving it . . .
