which part of the computer is the most essential??

OpenStudy (osanseviero):

Well... The keyboard is really essential for sending orders (the mouse not so much since you can use keyboard as shortcuts). Also the monitor, since you need to "see" something. RAM (the thing that works as a temporal storage) is also important, but not essential. The system Unit IS REALLY important, since it acts as the brain of your computer. Conclusion 1. The keyboard. 2. The PSU (Power Supply Unit) (Power to run every component) 3. CPU With the last three things you can have a funcional computer.

OpenStudy (osanseviero):

Sorry for the disorder...there is like a bug. First: Keyboard. 2: The PSU. 3: CPU You dont need anything else for a working computer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you need a motherboard to allow these things to communicate. So I would say the motherboard. (you can't plug a monitor and a keyboard right into the cpu.)

OpenStudy (osanseviero):

Oh...i got confused It was first the Motherboard, second the PSU and third the CPU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets not forget RAM. Those instructions need to reside somewhere. Cache is nice and all but it's rather limited.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question is which part is the most essential !! can't be just one part, cuz are connected with each other, one part can't be functional without other one. Unity makes strength !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The motherboard is THE most important element, period. It is what is responsible for connecting every other part together so that they can do meaningful work. The power supply unit (PSU) is even with the motherboard, as it provides the power necessary to run every component.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the fan, without it the computer will burn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cpu & hard drive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I suppose its the CPU. You can do without a Hard Drive if you run completely on Physical Memory, I would Imagine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One thing to note is PLCs work completely on a "CPU" and power. There is a physical means of input but they are computers. No RAM or large power supply necessary. So after consideration I would agree with "CPU".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kernel...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everythin..! there can't be anythin essential.. everythin is very essential to make a comp. run! r8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it's most essential.. then it'll be CPU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree with Boaben, the motherboard is the most essential part of the conmputer, without the mother board, the computer is like a silver we use for cookin, greetings omane.
