Well... The keyboard is really essential for sending orders (the mouse not so much since you can use keyboard as shortcuts). Also the monitor, since you need to "see" something. RAM (the thing that works as a temporal storage) is also important, but not essential. The system Unit IS REALLY important, since it acts as the brain of your computer.

2. The PSU (Power Supply Unit) (Power to run every component)
3. CPU
With the last three things you can have a funcional computer."
