So 2^2 = 2 x 2 = 4 (right side) 2^2= 4 + 7x 4 = 4 + 7x (When isolating x, we bring the 4 infront to the other side and change the sign) 4-(4) = 7x 0 = 7x ( Any number divided into 0, is as we all know, 0.) 0 / 7 = x 0 = x
