Solve the equation, and check the solution. 5/6x-1/5x+4=7/10x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it -1/(5x+4) or -1/5x +4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1/5x +4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.017

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1st u can do common denominators you get 25/30x -6/30x +120x = 7/10x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not that it wont be 120x sori it will be 120x/30x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. I didn't do that to the 4... Btw, the 4 doesn't have an x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup it doesnt but our common denominator that we r using is 30x so we multiply 4/1 by 30x for both the numerator and the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oooh. Okay. I got it now.
