2(3g+2)=1/2(12g+8) 2*2(3g+2)=12g+8 4(3g+2)=12g+8 12g+8=12g+8 12g=12g+8-8 12g-12g=8-8 0g=8-8 0g=0 0=0 Since this equation is ALWAYS true for any g value, this means g can equal any number. So there are an infinite number of solutions.
