Is there a concise yet comprehensive, visually presented explanation of the English Grammar? “Grammar: The whole system and structure of a language or of languages in general, usually taken as consisting of syntax and morphology (including inflections) and sometimes also phonology and semantics”
Wow, that would be nice to view. I wish i had something for you, but I don't.
Well you could start off with how the English language originated from the Anglo Saxons, that developed a way to communicate with others. And from there on they started branching off..
Then start talking about the grammar and give a few examples how it started to formulate over time
For grammatic "diagramming" see this: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/diagrams/diagrams.htm When I was in gradeschool we did something very similar to this. Drawing a structure showing the relations between the words in a sentence.
