Be a devil's advocate. Try and explain something from the other side, against your beliefs. It will expand your mind!

make sure you explain both sides of the argument! so give three points for and three points against. Unless you are writing to persuade, make sure the argument is balanced! the facts of your arguments need to be correct, so when looking through the text, make sure you have highlighted key points to use in your argument!
