A person sits down at a computer. They are told that there is one person and one computer talking to them at this computer, but are not told which is which. The judge then engages in natural human speech, and both the human and computer respond. Once completed, the judge will say which is the human. If the judge guesses the computer, it is said to have passes the Turing test. Hope this helps.
