IF a car leaves at 3pm traveling at 80 mph and another car leaves 2 hrs later at 100 mph. What equation would you use to know what time the the second car would catch up with the first?

First Car equation (x is time after second car started) First Car= 80x+2*80 Second Car=100x
\[100*t\text{ = }160+80* t\]
why 160?
t = 8 hours, 5pm+8 = 1am the next day.
because first car stared 160 miles ahead
