Sarah started school at age 5. She spent 1/4 of her life being eductaed and then went straight to work. She worked for 1/2 of her life and then lived for 14 years after retiring. How old was Sarah when she retired?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have her age when she died?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, that's all I was given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if she started school at 5, and went k-12 she would be 18, then if she goes to college for 4 years she will be 22. 22-5 =17 (The years she was educated). 17 years is 1/4 of her life......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. It does make it hard when we don't know when she dies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

based on that, she lives to be 68, she works for 34 years and is educated for 17 years, how ever, 34 + 17 +14 (retired) doesn't equal 68...
