what does -2x^2 + 240x-5500 factor to????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you factor out a 2 first it might be easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually i guess that is all you can do if you want to factor using integers. because you get \[-2(x^2-120x+275)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want to factor further you can find the zeros of the quadratic but they are not integers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out -2 u get -2(x^2-120x+2750)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

satellite how do u get 275

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by being a moron

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what is a decimal place between friend? in any case it doesn't factor over the integers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't factor out. You can solve the question by using the quadratic equation. I did and got these x=89.1548 and x=30.8452. Not sure if they're right though.
