I have been trying for three hours to do this problem and I keep getting the wrong answer. Factor by grouping 12x^3-28x^2+15x-35

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

12x^3-28x^2+15x-35 4x^2(3x-7)+15x-35 4x^2(3x-7)+5(3x-7) (4x^2+5)(3x-7) So 12x^3-28x^2+15x-35 factors to (4x^2+5)(3x-7) In other words, \[\large 12x^3-28x^2+15x-35=(4x^2+5)(3x-7)\]

Thank you. I see what I was doing wrong.
