I really need help. The product of 143 is 11 and 13. How would I write an equation whose solution gives the smaller number x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could try \[x(x+2)=143\] but i am not sure this is what you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let x-smaller x+2 larger They're product is equal to 143 so the equation will be... x(x+2)=143
