i dont understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so 1(x-5)=x-5 and 3(x-3)=3x-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 is across from x-5 and 3 is across from x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right now i have x-5 = 3x-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so bring 3x to other side. u have then x-3x-5=-9. then bring -5 to other side so -2x=-9+5. -2x=-4 x=2
