2y^5-3y^4+7y^3?? FACTORING I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO THE EXPONENTS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first of all each of these terms has a common factor of \[y^3\] because that is the smallest exponent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you can write \[y^3(2y^2-3y+7)\] and the check is to multiply out by adding the exponents and see that it is rigth
