12. Essay: Show all work. The area of a rectangular swimming pool is given by 2x ^2 -3x -9ft ^2 . One side length of the pool is given by 2x + 3 feet. What is an algebraic expression for the other side length of the pool? Simplify this, and include correct units as part of your answer. (Points : 6)

to find the answer you just need to factor the equation for the area. Since they already give you (2x+3) you can use it to help figure out the other side... 2x times what equals 2x^2 and 3 times what equals -9? After that just check to make sure the rest adds up... (2x+3)(x-3) = 2x^2 - 3x - 9 so (x-3) is your answer.
