what's an equation for a line with slope= -3 and y-intercept= -5

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Y = -3x - 5 as y = mx + b m = slope y = b

:D how about an equation for a HORIZONTAL line passing through (0,2)?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Any horizontal line is of the form y = k where k is some number Since the line must pass through (0,2) this means that k = 2 (notice how the y coordinate of this point is 2) So the equation of that line is y = 2
