A reservation clerk worked 9 hours one day. She spent twice as much time entering new reservations as she did verifying old ones and one and a half as much time callng to confirm resrvations as verifying old ones. How much time did she spend entering new reservations?

let t = time verifying old reservations . then 2t + t + 1.5t = 9 4.5t = 9 t = 2 time entering new reservations = 2t = 4 hours
