how do you find the intersection of a plane

OpenStudy (amistre64):

of a plane and what else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and a line

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you have to know the equations of course; then there is a part of determing the angle formed between the planes normal the the line

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the point of intersection being of course the place that it pokes thru so long as the line is not a part of the plane

Yeah, first check that the line is not orthogonal to the normal of the plane. If it is, then it's in the plane, and the intersection is just the line. If it's not then it pokes through it at a point.

thanks guys

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it amounts to finding a point on the plane that creates an orthogonal vector to the normal from the intersection, or to it...|dw:1314824622210:dw|
