Two rainstorms occurred in one week in a certain area. In the first storm, 35 ml of rain fell per hour, and in the second storm, 15ml of rain fell per hour. Rain lasted for a total of 55 hours, resulting in a total rainfall of 1325 . How long was each storm?

let x be the length of the first storm, let y be the length of the 2nd storm.\[x + y = 55\]\[35x + 15y = 1325\]solve for the 2 equations and you'll get \[x=25 hours\] and \[7 = 30 hours\]
