hi.......in uniform circular motion prof.lewin said that it is not possible to walk to the centre of spaceship.....can any one explain it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in non uniform circular motion we experience centrifugal force so we cant go towards center now bt if we will start moving in towards the center we will apply force in outer direction to move in thus ...... ya i am also not getting srry :( pls if u get ans please tell me also :)

Well, to even start going up that hallway, you need to get into the ceiling. Remember that the reason the spaceship is rotating is to simulate gravity. Furthermore, if you were to get into the hallway, it would be just like the centrifuge. You would be thrown outward due to inertia.
