The height h (feet) at time t (seconds) of a ball dropped off a building is given by: h(t)=-16t^2 + 150 a. When does the ball hit the ground? b. What is its velocity on impact? c. What are the instantaneous velocities when t=1 and t=2?

myininaya (myininaya):

(a) the ball hits the ground when the height h=0 so set h=0 and solve for the time t
