I wish Turnitin was scanning this site. We might get a better qaulity of questions. I also wish students would ask their Professors/Graduate Assistants etc questions about Citation methods and take a less mechanistic attitude to English. Surely the way to learn english is read like a maniac because then the Grammar sorts itself out. I also hate the homework assignents I do get the feeling that the person asking is not willing to do the work or if do work, finish off so they can see their mates etc and kind people here put the hard graft in.

The fact is with english assignments, it doesn't matter how many questions they ask they still have to write the thing themselves, so its kinda hard not do the work in terms of essays and such.

There are always going to be the simple questions, because those are the questions teachers don't bother answering.

@TranceNova But that's the point of education to answer the questions. Clearly a Teacher is not gonna do the work you are supposed to do.

Thats true; I just don't give them all the answers -though sometimes that can be hard to judge.

And even if turnitin was scanning this site it would accuse some people of plagiarism even when they aren't plagiarizing..... Happens Frequently...

How to make scanning of this site and all other sites watertight so all plagirism is picked up?

Frankly on here it does not matter if you plagiarise, no one is under the impression that all answers are original nor do they need to be. The majority of questions are about conveying an understanding of a subject, it only matters if the person asking the question understands it at the end of the day. Then the person can go and write their assignment or homework. While it is true that copyright laws need to be adhered to, so long as someone states where they got their information it should be fine. Also do you have an example of a question you think a scanner would be needed in?
