Explain how two people on a rotating carousel can have the same angular velocity but difference linear velocity.

they have different radius. linear velocity= r * angular velocity

the length traveled by each is different since they travel on different circumferences
lets keep it simple and say they each travel in a full circle; would you agree that they have the same angle speed?
If so, then we compare the distance traveled for linear speed; as you can see the circumference of each is different, so they cover different distances in the same amount of time.
