9x^4 + 37x^2 + 4 = 0 solve for x i keep getting the wrong answer so i'm probably using a wrong method... please explain your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you break up 9x^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i replaced x^2 with "u" and did... (9u+1)(u+4)=0 then solved for x and found (1/9)^(1/2) i and 2i but they were wrong...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(9x^2-1)(x^2-4), thats a start now you can solve for zero okay
