How does the Hunger Games show the idea of "the fall from innocence" through Katniss's perspective

Katniss is the perfect example. She is given a lot of responsibility and grows up very quickly. She has to help support her mother and she starts off fairly innocent but still has an idea of cruelty in the world. Once she goes to the hunger games and is directly invovlved within the games she quickly losses all her innocence because she sees other kids being killed by their own peers.
