10t^2+11t+3 factor

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

(2t+1)(5t+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain please

hero (hero):

10x^2 + 5t + 6t + 3 5t(2t + 1) + 3(2t+1) (2t + 1)(5t + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Note that 10*3 = 30, and that 6*5 = 30 while 6+5 = 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rewrite the 11x as 6x + 5x or 5x + 6x (as Hero did above)

hero (hero):

10t^2 + 5t + 6t + 3 5t(2t + 1) + 3(2t+1) (2t + 1)(5t + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks mandolino

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

Okay, 10^2 + 11t + 30 a+b = 6+5 a*b = 6*5 (10t+6)(10t+5) (2t+1)(5t+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what i would do is list the factors of 30, and which of them add up to 11. the ones that add up to 11 are 5 and 6. so 10x^2+5x+6x+3, 5x(2x+1) 3(2x+1)=(5x+3)(2x+1)

Go back and see my explanation from your earlier problem. I added to it after you left.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

thanks mimi
